10th Ward North Neighborhood Association
Welcome to the website for the 10th Ward North Neighborhood Association in Allentown, PA. Boundary is from Tilghman St. north to Sumner Ave & 7th St. to Jordan Creek. The 10th Ward North Neighborhood Association was created by Kenneth Heffentrager and Julian Kern from the Allentown Tenant Association to address the issues of the 10th Ward, to bring residents together to bring up issues that affect their everyday life and bring those issues to the city or correct those issues within the neighborhood. This area has been without an active group for a few years now and this area is not in the Center City initiative. The hopes of this association and the Allentown Tenant Association is to improve the overall "Quality of Life" in the 10th Ward. Please contact us if your interested in getting involved as this is a newly created group, and it's time to help make a difference for everyone living in the 10th Ward.
We have recently teamed up with the The Alternative Gallery located in the 10th ward at 707 N 4th St Suite 103. On Sunday May 17th we had our first community clean up event. Thanks to Bernie Reinert and Brandon Wunder with the alternative gallery for organizing the event. We had a great turnout for the clean up. We actually covered even more ground than we hoped to. About 30 volunteers came out to help us clean over 15 blocks in the 10th ward. An amazing effort by an awesome group of people. Thank you to everyone that participated, we need more people like you guys.
We plan to host more clean up events and more community events in the 10th ward for area residents. We have monthly meetings for anyone who lives, works, or plays in the 10th ward to attend and discuss issues as well as connect with other residents. Check out the meetings page for more information on when and where the meetings take place.
